Well, you might want to be a bit more careful about what you are putting on your face, both when it comes to products that are meant for other things and products that could contain substances that really are not that great for your skin.
Here is a list of some products which you should avoid using on your face
Shea Butter , Pure Vitamin E Oil & Vegetable Shortening
They are incredible moisturizers, BUT – its for your body. If you have an oily skin it can clog pores and make skin oilier.
Hair Spray
it should never be applied to your face because it contains lacquers and alcohol that will dry out your skin causing your skin to become dehydrated and age faster. It can also leave your skin irritated.
Deodorant
No they do not help to keep sweat off your face like underarms. Spraying face with deodorant will not allow it to breath and the chemicals can damage or burn your face.
Hair Color
If you color your hair regularly and want your brows to match, use a tinted brow mascara or pencil on your brows. The dye can be too irritating for the delicate skin around your eye area and can even make your eyes burn and tear up.
Shampoo
It helps to clean your hair removing the excess oil and dirt – definitely not applicable for your face. Shampoos are designed to deal with the hair shaft and using this on your face can really dry up your skin.
Hair Serum
Read the labels carefully before using serums. Serum does not mean that it can be applied to your skin if its made for your hair or body. There are different serum products and should be used according to the package.
Body Lotion
It makes life easier to just slather on one lotion to your body and face , but body lotions should never be applied to your face because the consistency and the contents are a lot thicker and contain fragrances that might irritate your facial skin. For face you should always use something more gentle and delicate.
Foot Creams
Like body creams , foot creams should also be kept away from applying on the face. These are created to break down the calluses on your feet and some also contain chemicals that cannot be applied on face.
Nail Polish
Face painting with nail polish is a total NO !. The acrylic molecules in nail paints will dry the skin plus difficult to remove causing itchiness and redness.
